Still have those old 8mm or Super 8mm film reels lying around the house. If you haven't transferred them to tape yet, it's time. Film is developed using a chemical process and over many years will begin to fade. Additionally, the film itself may become very brittle and ultimately unwatchable. Minimally, if you have these films around, they are at least 20 years old and may be as old as 60 years or more.
RDR's state of the art direct video transfer system produces the best 8mm and Super 8mm transfer available. The system uses an internal mechanism to capture the images with no actual projection of the image onto a screen. This produces an image that is less grainy and one that holds the color and clarity to a greater extent. Sound as well as silent films can be transferred.
